Overview
We are looking for a reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage financial records for an established business transitioning into a new venture. This role will handle bookkeeping tasks and provide light administrative support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and experienced with QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the finance team by managing daily accounting and financial tasks.
• Handle reconciliations, debits, credits, and general bookkeeping activities.
• Contribute to the annual and periodic budgeting process, working with management to develop accurate financial forecasts and projections.
• Troubleshoot and resolve financial discrepancies with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure all financial records are accurate, organized, and up to date.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and support business operations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Proven experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Experience in property management accounting, including rent collections, tenant billing, owner reporting, and expense tracking, is highly preferred.
• Previous leadership or management experience, with the ability to supervise, mentor, and coordinate team members while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with property management software (AppFolio), phone systems (Nextiva), and Adobe for documentation/design is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or management experience overseeing accounting, finance, or operations teams.
