About This Role

Work Location: Remote, Canada (EST Hours) Pay Range: $160K/Yr - $190K/Yr CAD Base + Annual Bonus The person in this role will work directly with the client and play a critical role in shaping how credit decisions, portfolio performance, and risk-adjusted revenue decisions are made. You ll work on the full credit lifecycle from strategy and pricing to portfolio health and performance, ensuring the risk approach supports sustainable growth and strong financial outcomes. Your work will directly influence profitability, capital efficiency, and long-term scalability. Key areas you will support include - • Credit Strategy & Portfolio Ownership - Driving portfolio performance, risk appetite, and policy direction • Pricing Strategy & Optimization - Balancing competitiveness and profitability across segments • Cross-Functional Leadership - Aligning credit strategy with Finance, Product, Sales, and Underwriting • Decision Accountability & Performance Oversight - Ensuring analytics and data teams deliver business impact How you ll be measured: • Portfolio Performance Ownership - Own IRR, cohort performance, roll rates, and funnel conversion metrics, ensuring alignment with company growth and profitability goals • Credit & Pricing Strategy Leadership - Define and evolve credit policy, underwriting strategy, and pricing frameworks that optimize risk-adjusted returns • Executive Influence & Cross-Functional Alignment - Partner across Finance, Product, Sales, and Operations to ensure consistent execution of credit strategy and influence business outcomes You re a Strong Fit if You: • Have strong decision-making capability and take full ownership of outcomes • Can balance risk and growth, making thoughtful trade-offs that drive business performance • Are highly analytical and comfortable challenging data and assumptions to reach better decisions • Communicate effectively at an executive level and influence across diverse stakeholders • Thrive in ambiguity and can operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment • Lead collaboratively while maintaining accountability and clear conviction • Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset • Are comfortable working across global, distributed teams • 10+ years of progressive experience in credit risk with direct ownership of portfolio performance • 3+ years in a director-level or higher leadership role managing teams • Strong experience in small business lending, alternative finance, Merchant Cash Advances or non-prime environments preferred • Proven track record of making credit and pricing decisions with measurable business impact • Experience operating at an executive level with strong cross-functional influence Originally posted on Himalayas
