Key Responsibilities Play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables through multi-tenant, highly scalable and available cloud applications Provide expert level design and engineering support towards the successful delivery of cloud solutions. Participate and lead architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, cost effectiveness and high availability in the cloud Design and implement solutions supporting disaster recovery and business continuity architecture Create and implement automation in the form of infrastructure as code for cloud platform solutions Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper scalability, performance and capacity standards Tackle a variety of technical challenges WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications) Required Competencies Ability to independently design, develop and architect highly available, highly scalable cloud applications and microservices from scratch Full stack development experience, starting from UI all the way to the back-end details Hands-on experience with AWS services like IoT Core, Lambda, DynamoDB, API gateway, Cloud Formation, Code Build, Systems Manager, etc. Strong engineering skills to develop software using Python and flexibility to learn and develop code in different programming languages Good in writing algos using Python Ability to independently develop and automate unit and integration tests for cloud applications using scripting languages like Bash/PowerShell/Python Comprehensive experience with Unix, Windows, network/firewall concepts, source control (GitHub) and build/dependency management and continuous integration systems Nice to Have Experience working in agile teams with short release cycles Possess strong verbal, written and team presentation communication skills Experience with software development and management tools like Jira, Git, Visual Studio Code Experience in integrating with third party firmware/software components and IoT devices Experience working cross-functionally with teams like Product Management, Client Originally posted on Himalayas
