About This Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly accurate Remote Construction Takeoff Specialist to support estimating and pre-construction activities for a growing construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing quantity takeoffs from architectural, structural, and foundation plans, calculating material quantities, square footage, and concrete-related measurements, and supporting the preparation of project estimates. This role requires strong AutoCAD proficiency, prior construction takeoff experience, and the ability to review plans and specifications with a high degree of precision. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a small internal estimating team, maintain accurate project documentation, and contribute to the timely delivery of bids and estimates. Experience in concrete construction is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for foundation, structural, and architectural plans. • Analyze construction drawings and specifications with a high level of accuracy. • Calculate square footage, PSI requirements, and material quantities for concrete projects. • Collaborate with the estimating team to support project bids and estimates. • Maintain accurate and organized takeoff and estimating documentation. • Review project plans and specifications to identify scope requirements. • Assist in preparing cost estimates and bid packages. • Communicate with team members regarding project details and quantity clarifications. • Organize and maintain digital project files, drawings, and related documentation. • Perform other duties related to the position as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: • Proficient level of English (written and spoken). • Excellent professional and communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and teammates. • Prior experience performing construction takeoffs is required. • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required. • Familiarity with takeoff and estimating software platforms. • Must be available to complete a client-assigned test project. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Demonstrated reliability, consistency, and accountability. • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision. • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems, software, and processes. • Comfortable using email, OneDrive, and other document management tools. • Experience in concrete construction is highly preferred. • Experience reviewing construction drawings, plans, and specifications. • Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Comfortable working within structured processes and established workflows. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and standard business tools (email, spreadsheets, document management). • Out-of-the-box thinker, highly adaptable, reliable, self-motivated, and confident approach. • Positive attitude and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. • Ability to understand and follow established processes accurately with minimal supervision. • Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adapt to business needs. • Interested in long-term career opportunities. • Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
