SAP QM Architect Location: UAE / Remote Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract Industry: IT Consulting / Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced SAP QM Architect with strong domain expertise in SAP Quality Management (QM) and deep exposure to pharmaceutical / life sciences environments to join our enterprise SAP transformation team. The ideal candidate will possess 12+ years of overall SAP experience, including at least 7 years of focused SAP QM experience, with proven success delivering end-to-end SAP implementations, solution architecture, process optimization, and integration across manufacturing and quality landscapes. Candidates with hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA QM implementations, particularly within regulated pharmaceutical environments, will be highly preferred. Key Responsibilities SAP QM Solution Architecture • Lead the design and architecture of SAP QM solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements • Define enterprise-wide quality management processes within SAP S/4HANA landscapes • Design scalable and compliant QM frameworks for: • Incoming quality inspections • In-process inspections • Final goods inspections • Vendor quality management • Batch quality management • Stability studies • CAPA processes • Non-conformance management SAP QM Configuration & Functional Expertise • Configure and optimize SAP QM functionalities including: • Inspection Types • Inspection Plans • Sampling Procedures • Master Inspection Characteristics (MICs) • Catalogs & Code Groups • Quality Notifications • Usage Decisions • Quality Certificates • Dynamic Modification Rules • Defect Recording • Design and manage: • Quality info records • Vendor evaluation processes • Batch management integration • Audit management support processes SAP S/4HANA QM Implementation • Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA QM implementations including: • Requirement gathering • Fit-gap analysis • Solution design • Configuration • Testing • Deployment • Hypercare support • Participate in SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation initiatives • Drive SAP QM process harmonization and digital quality transformation Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Expertise • Ensure SAP QM processes align with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements • Work within GxP-regulated environments and support: • FDA compliance • GMP requirements • Validation processes • Electronic records compliance • Audit readiness • Collaborate with QA/QC, manufacturing, regulatory, and validation teams Integration Responsibilities • Integrate SAP QM with: • SAP MM (Materials Management) • SAP PP (Production Planning) • SAP EWM • SAP PM • SAP SD • SAP Batch Management • SAP MES systems • LIMS systems • Third-party manufacturing and laboratory applications • Support automated quality workflows and shop-floor integrations SAP QM Data & Reporting • Design quality analytics and KPI dashboards • Support reporting using: • SAP Embedded Analytics • CDS Views • SAP Fiori Applications • SAP Analytics Cloud (preferred) • Analyze quality trends, defects, and compliance metrics SAP Fiori & User Experience • Support SAP Fiori-enabled QM applications • Enhance user experience through: • Mobile inspection applications • Workflow automation • Simplified approval processes • Real-time quality monitoring dashboards Testing, Validation & Documentation • Prepare: • Functional specifications • Configuration documents • Test scripts • Validation documents • SOP-related documentation • Support: • SIT • UAT • Regression testing • Cutover planning • Production support Required Skills & Experience Mandatory • 12+ years of overall SAP experience • Minimum 7 years of dedicated SAP QM experience • Strong expertise in SAP QM configuration and solution architecture • Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA QM implementations • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical quality processes • Experience working in regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences environments Technical Expertise Required • SAP QM • SAP S/4HANA • SAP Fiori • SAP Batch Management • SAP MM / PP integrations • Quality Notifications & Inspection Processing • Master Data Management • Integration with MES/LIMS systems • SAP Activate methodology Preferred Skills • Experience with cloud-based SAP S/4HANA implementations • Exposure to SAP Digital Manufacturing / MES • Knowledge of SAP EWM integration • SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM exposure • Experience in validation documentation and compliance audits • SAP QM certification is an advantage Soft Skills • Strong stakeholder and client-facing communication skills • Ability to lead workshops and solution discussions • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Ability to mentor junior consultants and lead functional teams • Excellent documentation and presentation capabilities Why Join Us? • Opportunity to work ...
