Senior Java Developer/AWS specialist - Full Remote

Category: IT Services Location: Fort Western Province Sri Lanka For an international organization, we are urgently looking for a REMOTE Senior Java Developer/AWS specialist to assist with activities related to migration of existing Java/Oracle web-based applications to an AWS cloud environment. During the corona crisis, interviews will be done through WEBEX, and travel is not required for the interviews. All positions are long-term. Candidates need to be able to work the European schedule. Tasks and deliverables • Assist with the migration/configuration of web-based applications to an AWS cloud environment in accordance with established architectural standards and practices; • Implement, manage, and support technical processes for deployment of infrastructure, automation of deployment and operations, and related practices; • Complete the ongoing migration of the Madrid eFiling system to an AWS cloud environment; • Enable Redis caching for applications that have been migrated to an AWS cloud environment to allow the removal of sticky sessions; • Assist with the review/relocating/removal of a custom SSO authentication module; • Review and write required additional web services; • Document as needed; Profile • Bachelor/Master degree; • +7 years of Java Development experience; • Experience in migration of applications to AWS cloud-based infrastructure, including configuration and deployment; • Proficient in developing front-end and back-end solutions for modern web applications using Java EE, JSF, and JavaScript frameworks; • Experience with digital authentication mechanisms and frameworks; • Hands-on experience in DevOps toolchain - Jira/Git/Bamboo; • Excellent document production skills - design documents, architecture diagrams, transition plans; • Fluent in English; Essential tools: • Cloud technologies (AWS); • Java EE, Javascript, JSF, JSP, Spring, Hibernate; • Web services: SOAP, REST; • SSO authentication (OIDC / OpenAM); • HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript; • Database skills (RDBMS, redis caching); • Microservice architectures; Offered: • A challenging role for an international organization; • Attractive salary package or freelance rate; Interested: Please send your resume and motivation to or call us on +94 114312515 for more information.
