Summary
We are seeking a motivated Senior/Managing Consultant to support our continued growth in Japan. This role focuses on client/partner relationship management, expert consultancy in international chemicals-based regulations, and business outreach.
Role and Responsibilities
• Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients and industry partners across Japan.
• Provide expert guidance on global substance notification requirements, with a focus on the APAC region (including Japan CSCL/ISHL, K-REACH, China MEE Order No. 12, Taiwan TCCSCA, etc.). Ideally, expertise should also cover North America TSCA/CEPA and EU/UK/Turkey REACH regulations.
• Collaborate with Yordas consultants and technical teams to coordinate proposals and ensure seamless project delivery.
• Deliver persuasive presentations and pitches that effectively communicate Yordas value proposition.
• Represent Yordas Group at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to increase brand awareness.
• Promote internal cross-selling by understanding Yordas full portfolio of services and aligning them with client needs.
• Promote Yordas digital Helix platform and associated Regulatory Intelligence and Product Stewardship management solutions.
Profile and Qualifications
• Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Toxicology or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in industry or consulting in Product Stewardship and/or EHS related disciplines.
• Robust working knowledge of international chemicals management or sustainability regulations is essential.
• Knowledge of GHS and SDS is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships in a professional services or regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in Japanese and English. Other languages would be an asset.
• Self-starter who thrives in a remote work environment and can manage competing priorities effectively.
