Senior Project Manager SAP MES (S/4HANA program) in Pharma

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with deep expertise in SAP MES to join our pharmaceutical organization. In this role, you will lead complex manufacturing execution system implementations and optimization projects, driving operational excellence across our pharma production facilities. You will combine strategic project leadership with technical acumen to deliver transformational initiatives that enhance manufacturing efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our commitment to pharmaceutical excellence. • Lead end-to-end SAP MES implementation, interface and upgrade projects from initiation through closure, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery with comprehensive project planning and resource optimization • Manage cross-functional teams including IT, operations, quality, and regulatory stakeholders to achieve project milestones and deliverables • Analyze current manufacturing processes and system performance to identify optimization opportunities and implement data-driven solutions • Ensure all projects maintain compliance with pharmaceutical regulations including GMP, FDA, and EMA requirements • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies while facilitating change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes • Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders through regular reporting and presentations, while mentoring junior project managers • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years specifically managing SAP MES implementations in pharmaceutical or life sciences environments • Proven expertise in SAP MES interfacing, configuration, customization, and system optimization • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP standards, and regulatory compliance requirements (FDA, EMA) • Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent agile certification • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-site projects with cross-functional teams • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Advanced proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels • Experience with budget management and resource planning • Preferred: SAP S/4HANA implementation experience • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement methodology training • Preferred: Change management expertise and experience leading organizational transformation initiatives • Preferred: Experience managing multiple pharma manufacturing sites or global project portfolios WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN FUSION: At Fusion, you ll join a diverse team of talented professionals from around the world, united by a passion for delivering impactful digital transformation in the life sciences industry.
