Specialty Account Executive, Cardiovascular Medicine
PatientIQ
About This Role
About PatientIQ
PatientIQ is a fast-growing health tech company on a mission to improve patient outcomes. We partner with healthcare providers, medical device companies, and researchers to collect, analyze, and act on patient-reported outcomes data at scale - powering smarter clinical decisions and accelerating the future of value-based care.
Headquartered in Chicago and backed by top-tier venture capital and major health system investors, PatientIQ is building the largest platform for healthcare providers, industry partners, and researchers to collaborate on what matters most: helping patients get better.
The opportunity
PatientIQ is expanding into cardiovascular medicine, and we are hiring a dedicated Account Executive to accelerate our growth in this high-priority specialty. PatientIQ already has deep relationships with leading health systems across the country - this role is about activating those relationships in cardiology service lines, opening new doors within and adjacent to our existing network, and owning the full commercial cycle to build meaningful market share in cardiovascular care.
This is not an account management role or a territory management role. This is a commercial role focused on market development: establishing PatientIQ as the go-to platform for cardiovascular programs - across health system CV service lines, independent cardiovascular practices, and the society ecosystem (ACC, AHA, STS) - by leveraging your network and ours to drive pipeline, close business, and shape the commercial playbook for cardiology at scale.
The Cardiovascular Specialty AE will own the full new logo sales cycle - from prospect identification through contract execution - with direct support from the PatientIQ Customer Success team for post-sale onboarding and expansion. You will also partner closely with PatientIQ s Outcomes Research & Registries team, which co-owns the STS registry relationship and positions PatientIQ as the EHR-integrated data capture and registry submission platform for cardiovascular programs. This role sits within the Provider Sales organization, reporting to the VP of Sales.
What you'll do
NEW LOGO ACQUISITION
• Territory ownership: Own and build the cardiovascular new logo pipeline across cardiovascular practices, NSPs with cardiology service lines, and health systems with dedicated cardiovascular programs.
• Full-cycle sales: Prospect, qualify, demo, negotiate, and close.
• Pipeline accountability: Maintain 3 pipeline coverage against your quarterly target. Accurate, weekly HubSpot forecast hygiene is a non-negotiable.
MARKET DEVELOPMENT & SOCIETY RELATIONSHIPS
• ACC, AHA & STS alignment: Leverage existing society relationships and partner with PatientIQ's Outcomes Research & Registries team to co-develop registry-linked commercial propositions and expand STS co-ownership to new program sites.
• CMS cardiac episode model positioning: Position PatientIQ as the data infrastructure layer enabling cardiovascular programs to participate in CMS Accountable Care for Stroke and cardiac episode payment models - a near-term, high-urgency buyer trigger.
• Conference presence: Represent PatientIQ at ACC, AHA, SCAI, and STS annual meetings. Build relationships at the clinical and administrative decision-maker level before active sales cycles begin.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL EXECUTION
• Outcomes Research coordination: Work closely with the Outcomes Research & Registries team on research-adjacent sales opportunities, registry positioning, and sponsored research leads from cardiovascular device manufacturers.
• CSM partnership: Partner with the CSM team (Enterprise and Specialty tracks) for post-sale onboarding, expansion identification, and strategic account development. You are responsible for new logo velocity; the CSM team carries retention and expansion.
• Product feedback loop: Serve as the voice of the cardiovascular buyer to Product and Clinical teams - surfacing workflow gaps, data capture requirements, and registry integration needs unique to cardiovascular programs.
What success looks like
We believe clarity drives performance. Here's what the first 90 days look like in this role:
