Apply by 24th August 2026 About Restless Development Restless Development Zambia is a youth-focused non-profit organisation that works with young people and communities to create lasting change. We believe that young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also the leaders of today. By supporting young people to lead, influence and take action, we contribute to stronger communities and a more just, inclusive and equitable society. Working in partnership with government, civil society, development partners and local communities, Restless Development Zambia delivers programmes across five strategic thematic areas: democracy, governance and civic participation; youth livelihoods and economic empowerment; gender and education; climate justice; and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Restless Development Zambia is governed by an independent National Board, which provides strategic leadership, oversight and accountability, ensuring that the organisation remains focused on its mission, delivers high-quality programmes, and upholds the highest standards of governance. We are part of the wider Restless Development global network, comprising independently registered and governed hubs in India, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, the United Kingdom, the United States, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Together with the Youth Collective-a growing global community of youth-led organisations with members in over 185 countries-we support the collective power of young people to create a better world. At Restless Development, we are committed to shifting power to young people by ensuring they have meaningful opportunities to influence decisions and lead change within their communities, nationally, and globally. Our Approach to Safeguarding Restless Development Zambia is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk. The safety, dignity and wellbeing of the people and communities we work with are paramount and take precedence over the delivery of programmes or the achievement of organisational objectives. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. We expect all Board members, staff, volunteers and partners to uphold the highest standards of conduct, comply with our Safeguarding Policy, and contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment free from abuse, exploitation and harm.
