Anti-Fraud Officer (remote, Romania)

We are currently expanding our team and hiring an Anti-Fraud Officer to protect the product and its users from fraud while supporting business growth and maintaining positive customer experience. What You ll Do: • Detect and prevent fraud by analyzing suspicious signs in the data. • Prepare and label fraud datasets for machine learning. • Deliver high-quality, timely fraud analysis while enhancing customer satisfaction and fraud detection frameworks. Must-have skills: • Understanding of KYC/AML processes with at least one year of hands-on experienceas Fraud/Risk Analyst, Identity Verification Specialist, KYC/AML Analyst or Trust & Safety Specialist; • Experience with document verification, including reviewing identity documents, proof of address, and/or other KYC-related documentation; • English language proficiency at B2 level or higher and other specific languages (on request); • Industry-specific experience (fintech, crypto, banking, payment systems, marketplace,etc.); • Knowledge of common fraud patterns and detection tools; • Understanding of fraud models/ML concepts. Soft skills: • Ability to work independently with large volumes of data; • Strong analytical and critical thinking; • High attention to detail; • Analyzing self-performance; • Strong sense of responsibility. Nice to have: • Experience analyzing fraud patterns and customer behavior, with the ability to identify unusual patterns or inconsistencies during KYC checks and client onboarding.
