About This Role

Technician The Security Centre Limited is seeking a technically capable and customer-focused Technician to join our Systems Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems, including intruder alarms, card access systems, CCTV, and commercial fire systems. The Technician will make a significant contribution to the success of the Systems Department by delivering high-quality technical work, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring projects and service requirements are completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of our clients. Location: Cayman Islands Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Reports to: Systems Department Management About the Role This is a hands-on technical role supporting the delivery of electronic security projects and ongoing maintenance services across residential and commercial environments. The successful candidate will work across the full project lifecycle, from cable installation and device deployment through to control panel termination, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and client handover. The role will also support related electrical, communications, audio-visual, security lighting, telephone, cabling, and home automation projects, while working closely with the Sales and Systems teams, manufacturers, customers, and other stakeholders. A key part of the role is ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with company standards, client requirements, project specifications, contractual commitments, and applicable safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning • Install electronic security systems and associated equipment in residential and commercial environments. • Run and terminate cables in accordance with system and project requirements. • Execute control panel terminations and associated wiring. • Install security devices, sensors, readers, cameras, panels, and other system components. • Establish Central Station connections and complete system commissioning. • Test systems to ensure correct operation and compliance with project specifications. • Support client handovers and provide appropriate system guidance where required. Service, Maintenance & Troubleshooting • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on security systems. • Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults and technical issues. • Carry out repairs and corrective works as required. • Maintain accurate records of service activities, faults, repairs, and system performance. • Respond professionally and efficiently to client service requirements. • Ensure systems remain operational, reliable, and fit for purpose. Electronic Security Projects • Assist the Sales and Systems teams with the design, sourcing, ordering, installation, and commissioning of electronic security projects. • Support both reactive and proactive security projects. • Assist with project planning, equipment requirements, installation activities, and commissioning. • Work to agreed labour, equipment, and project timelines. • Contribute to the successful completion and delivery of projects to customer expectations. • Identify opportunities for system improvements and additional client requirements. Related Technical Services • Perform electrical and civil works associated with security installations. • Support projects involving security lighting, telephones, audio-visual systems, home automation, and structured cabling. • Assist with the integration of security systems and related technologies where required. • Apply sound technical judgement when working with existing infrastructure and client premises. Customer & Supplier Relationships • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with product and equipment manufacturers. • Build positive and professional relationships with commercial and residential customers. • Communicate clearly with clients regarding technical requirements, project progress, service issues, and completion. • Represent The Security Centre Limited professionally at all times. • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service quality. Administration, Compliance & Safety • Complete administrative tasks, service documentation, project records, and reports requested by the Head of Department. • Comply with all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of The Security Centre Limited. • Comply with applicable requirements and rules established by clients while working on their premises. • Follow all company health and safety requirements and maintain safe working practices. • Complete required safety training and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with established procedures. • Support compliance with the policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team from time to time.
