MARINE PAINTER & BLASTER (local and expat) Join Our Team at German Ship Repair Jamaica! We are expanding our technical team at Jamaica's first ship repair yard with a floating dock facility in Harbour View, Kingston, and are currently recruiting for a Marine Painter & Blaster. Role: Responsible for surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and application of protective coatings on vessels and shipyard structures. Responsibilities: Prepare steel surfaces using abrasive blasting, power tools, and other approved methods. Apply marine coatings and paint systems in accordance with technical specifications and manufacturers' recommendations. Inspect prepared surfaces and completed coating work to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain blasting and painting equipment and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures. Requirements: Previous experience in abrasive blasting and industrial or marine painting. Knowledge of surface preparation methods, coating systems, and safe handling of painting materials. Ability to work safely in confined spaces and industrial environments. Shipyard experience is an advantage.
